CHAP. 74.— AN ACT authorizing the issue of passports free to colored citizens going to Brazil.April 30, 1878. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Passport s for colored citizens going to Brazil. That the Secretary of State be, and he is hereby, directed to issue passports, free of charges and fees therefor, to any colored citizens of the UnitedR. S. 4075, p. 790. States who may wish to go to Brazil to engage in work upon the Madera and Mamore Railway, and to that extent the provisions of section four thousand and seventy-five of the Revised Statutes are suspended. Approved, April 30, 1878.
