CHAP. 49.— AN ACT to constitute a commission to consider and report a plan for providing enlarged accommodations for the Library of Congress.April 3, 1878. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Library of Congress. That the two chairmen of the Joint. Committee on the Library of Congress on the part of the Senate and House, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Buildings aiJ. Grounds, the chairman of the House Committee on Public Buildings and Grounds, and the Librarian of Congress, be, and they are hereby, constituted a commission to consider the whole subject of providingCommission. enlarged accommodations for the Library of Congress, and to report a plan for such accommodations, together with an estimate of the cost.
Sec. 2. That the sum of twenty-five hundred dollars, or so muchAppropriation. thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for procuring such plans as the commission may prescribe, in furtherance of the provisions of this act. Approved, April 3, 1878.
