CHAP. 286.— An Act granting a pension to John G. Merritt.June 18, 1878. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,J. G. Merritt.Pension to. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension-roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension-laws, the name of John G. Merritt, late sergeant of Company K, First Regiment of Minnesota Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of the pension he now receives Approved, June 18, 1878.
