CHAP. 285.— An Act granting a pension to William Emerson.June 18, 1878. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,W. Emerson.Pension to. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension-roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension-laws, the name of William Emerson, Late a private in Company A, First Regiment Massachusetts Volunteers, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month, in lieu of the pension he now receives. Approved, June 18, 1878.
