CHAP. 284.— AN ACT for the relief of the heirs and legal representatives of Richard Stevenson, late assistant quartermaster of volunteers and his bondsmen.March 3, 1879. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,E. Stevenson.Sureties on bond. That the heirs and legal representatives of Richard Stevenson, late an assistant quartermaster of Volunteers, and his official sureties or bondsmen, are hereby released from any liability to the United States on account of any moneys or property received or disbursed by said Richard Stevenson as such quartermaster; and the proper accounting officers of the Treasury Department are hereby directed to close all accounts of said Richard Stevenson as such quartermaster, in accordance with the intent of this act.
