CHAP. 283.— An Act granting a pension to John Charles Black.June 18, 1878. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,J. C. Black.Pension to. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension-roll the name of John Charles Black, late lieutenant-colonel of the Thirty-seventh Regiment Illinois Volunteers, and pay him a pension of one hundred dollars per month from and after the passage of this act. Approved, June 18, 1878.
