CHAP. 274.— AN ACT to authorize the Secretary of War to place upon the rolls of Company H, Ninth Regiment West Virginia Volunteer Infantry, the name of William S. Massie.March 3, 1879. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,W. S. Massie.Pay and emoluments. That the Secretary of War be, and he is hereby, authorized and required to cause the name of William S. Massie to be placed on the rolls of Company H, Ninth Regiment of West Virginia Volunteer Infantry, as of the date of August eighteenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-one; and that he be entitled to receive all pay, bounties, commutations of rations and clothing, and other emoluments of said service, as were paid to, or received by, other privates of said company, from said eighteenth day of August to the twenty-fifth day of October, eighteen hundred and sixty-two, deducting therefrom any and all sums of money, rations, or clothing he may have heretofore received on account of said service.
