CHAP. 239.— An Act granting a pension to William Cogswell.June 15, 1878. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,W. Cogswell.Pension to. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension-laws, the name of William Cogswell, late captain of Cogswell’s Independent Battery of Light Artillery, Illinois volunteers.
