CHAP. 178.— An Act for the relief of George R. Dennis, of Maryland.June 10, 1878. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,G. R. Dennis.Payment to. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and be is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to George R. Dennis, of Maryland, the sum of two thousand three hundred and ninety-four dollars and sixty-six cents, in full payment for damages sustained 541 FORTY-FIFTH CONGRESS. Sess. II. Ch. 178, 179, 185. 1878. by him in having his schooner William J. Dennis run into and sunk by the government steamer General Meigs, in the year eighteen hundred and sixty-four.
