CHAP. 137.— AN ACT for the relief of Josephine C. Owen, postmaster at Randolph, New York.March 1, 1879. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Josephine C. Owen.Payment to. That the Secretary of the Treasury is hereby authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Josephine C. Owen, postmaster at Randolph, in the State of New York, the sum of eight hundred and fifteen dollars, to reimburse her for the loss of postage-stamps and money belonging to said post-office, which were stolen from the vault of the bank in Randolph, where they had been deposited for safekeeping, without negligence on the part of the said postmaster.
