CHAP. 12.— An act to authorize the proper accounting-officer of the Treasury to audit and pay the claim of the State of Tennessee for keeping United States military prisoners. Jan. 13, 1879. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Tennessee.Payment for keeping military prisoners. That the proper accounting-officer of the Treasury’ be, and hereby is, authorized to audit, and, when audited, to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the amount due the State of Tennessee if any amount is found due for keeping and maintaining United States military prisoners. Approved, January 13, 1879.
