Chap. XXX.— An Act *to impose a duty on the importation of Iron wire.* Feb. 25, 1813. [Repealed.] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* Act of March 3, 1815, ch. 76.Act of Feb. 5, 1816, ch. 10.Duties upon iron wire. That iron wire, which, from and after the passage of this act, shall be imported into the United States and the territories thereof, shaft be subject to the same duty as is paid on the importation of iron, steel, or brass locks, hinges, hoes, anvils, and vices.
Sec. 2. Additional duty imposed on wire imported in vessels of the United States.How collected, &c. &c. *And be it further enacted,* That an addition of ten per centum shaft be made on the rate of duty hereby directed to be collected on the importation of iron wire as aforesaid, in ships or vessels not of the United States. Sec. 3. *And be it further enacted,* That the duty laid by this act shall be levied and collected in the same manner, and under the same regulations and allowances as to drawbacks, mode of security, and time of payment, as the duties now in force on the articles herein before enumerated.
