Chap. XII.— An Act *making compensation to John Eugene Leitensdorfer for services rendered the United States in the war with Tripoli.*Feb. 13, 1811. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,*A land warrant to be granted to Leitensdorfer. That the Secretary of War be, and he is hereby directed to issue a land warrant to John Eugene Leitensdorfer for three hundred and twenty acres; which said warrant may, at the option of the holder or possessor, be located with any register or registers of the land-offices on any of the public lands of the United States, lying on the west side of the Mississippi, then and there offered for sale, or may be received at the rate of two dollars per acre in payment of any such public lands.
Sec. 2. *And be it further enacted,* That the proper accountingHis account to be settled by the officers of the treasury. officers of the treasury be, and they are hereby directed to settle the account of John Eugene Leitensdorfer, and to allow him the pay of a captain, from the fifteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and four, to the fifteenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and five, being the time he served as adjutant and inspector of the forces of the United States, in Egypt and on the coast of Africa.
