CHAP. XCIX.— An Act for the Relief of James F. Casey, Collector of the Port of New Orleans. Feb. 4, 1873. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and is hereby, authorized to credit James F. Casey, collector of customs for the port of New Orleans, the following items in the settlement of his accounts, to wit: The sum of three hundred and ninety-four dollars and sixteen cents, being the sum paid John Hancock as assistant auditor in the New Orleans custom-house for services from February twenty-fifth to April twenty-second, eighteen hundred and sixty-nine; and the sum of six hundred and five dollars and twenty-four cents, being the sum paid Robert L.
Ream, jr., for services as clerk in said customhouse, from February first to June seventh, eighteen hundred and sixty- FORTY-SECOND CONGRESS. Sess. III. Ch. 100–103. 1873 723 nine: *Provided,* That said Secretary shall find such services were performed and payments were made to them in good faith by said collector. Approved, February 4, 1873.
