CHAP. LXXVIII.— An Act to authorize the President to appoint George Plunkett a Paymaster in the Navy.April 2, 1872. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* ThatGeorge Plunkett may be appointed a paymaster in the navy. the President be, and he is hereby, authorized to appoint George Plunkett a paymaster in the United States navy, if, in his opinion, the interests of the public service will be thereby promoted. Approved, April 2, 1872.
