CHAP. LXIII.— An Act for the Relief of Pre-emption Settlers in the State of California. March 22, 1872. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * That all bona-fide pre-emptionCertain preemption settlers in California to have one year from, &c., to prove, &c., their claims. claimants who may have filed their declaratory statements, prior to the passage of this act, upon any of the public lanes in the State of California, shall have one year from and after the passage of this act in which to make proof and payment of their respective claims.
