CHAP. CXVI.— An Act for the Relief of Cathron and Maguire, Bankers and Brokers, of the City of Rome, Georgia. April 23, 1872. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * That the commissioner of internalCompromise offered by Cathron and Maguire, to be accepted. revenue be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to accept the compromise offered by Messrs. Cathron and Maguire, bankers and brokers, of the city of Rome, in the State of Georgia, in full for all taxes levied against them on the amount of notes of the said city, paid out by them after the first day of May, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, and prior to the first day of August, eighteen hundred and seventy-one.
