CHAP. CLXXV.— An Act *making Appropriations for the Construction, Preservation, and Repairs of certain Fortifications, and other Works of Defense, for the Year ending June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and seventy-four*. Feb. 21, 1873. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled*, Appropriations for fortifications. &c. That the following sums be, and the same are hereby, appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and seventy-four, and so far as necessary for the residue of the current fiscal year, for the following fortifications and other works of defense, namely:
