CHAP. XLIII.— An Act for the Relief of Captain Phelps Paine.April 1, 1870. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to CaptainPayment to Captain Phelps Paine. Phelps Paine the sum of two thousand and thirty dollars and thirty cents, in full payment for services rendered as sergeant-major in the months of November and December, eighteen hundred and sixty-one, and as first lieutenant and aide-de-camp from the first day of January, eighteen hundred and sixty-two, to the twenty-fifth day of March, eighteen hundred and sixty-three.
