CHAP. IX.— An Act *to abolish the Office of Chief of Staff to the General of the Army*. April 3, 1869. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Office of chief of staff to the General of the army abolished. That the office of chief of staff with the rank of brigadier-general to the General commanding the army be, and the same is hereby, abolished. Sec. 2. Repealing clause.*And be further enacted*, That all laws and parts of laws inconsistent with the provisions of this act be, and the same are hereby, repealed. Approved, April 3, 1869.
