CHAP. CLXXIV.— An Act for the Relief of Commodore S. B. Bissell and Commodore John C. Carter.June 29, 1870. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That from the thirteenth day ofAllowance to S. B. Bissell and John C. Carter. September, eighteen hundred and fifty-five, to the fourteenth of January, eighteen hundred and fifty-eight, Commodore S. B. Bissell and Commodore John C. Carter shall be allowed the difference between the pay that they received and the pay of a commander in the United States navy. Approved, June 29, 1870.
