CCXXVI.— An Act *to declare the Construction of Section fifty-five of an Act entitled “An Act to provide a national Currency secured by a Pledge of United States Bonds, and to provide for the Circulation and Redemption thereof,” approved June three, eighteen hundred and sixty-four, and the Acts amendatory thereof, and to amend the same*. July 8, 1870.1864, ch. 106, § 55.Vol. xiii. p. 116. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That section fifty-five of the actPenalty upon officers, &c. of banking associations for embezzlement of funds.1863, ch. 58.
Vol. xii. p. 665. entitled “An act to provide a national currency secured by a pledge of United States bonds, and to provide for the circulation and redemption thereof,” approved June three, eighteen hundred and sixty-four, and all acts amendatory of said section, shall be construed to apply to every president, director, cashier, teller, clerk, or agent of any banking association, whether organized under the aforesaid act or under the act entitled “An act to provide a national currency secured by a pledge of United States bonds, and to provide for the circulation and redemption thereof,” approved February twenty-five, eighteen hundred and sixty-three.
