CCLIX.— An Act to amend existing Laws relating to internal Revenue.July 14, 1870. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That on and after the passageCertain articles exempt from internal tax. of this act, in addition to the articles now exempt by law, the articles275FORTY-FIRST CONGRESS. Sess. II. Ch. 259, 260, 261. 1870. and products hereinafter enumerated shall be exempt from internal tax, namely: Canned and preserved fish, shell-fish, meats, fruits, and vegetables.*Ante*, p. 257.
