CHAP. XLV.— An Act for the Relief of John S. Cunningham, Paymaster United States Navy.May 19, 1868. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the proper accounting officersAllowance to Paymaster John S. Cunningham in settlement of accounts. of the government be, and they hereby are, authorized and directed, in the settlement of the accounts of John S. Cunningham, paymaster United States navy, to allow a credit to him of sixteen hundred and seventy-one dollars and seven cents, the amount of public money stolen from the money-chest of the United States frigate Colorado, while said chest was under his charge.
