CHAP. CLXXVI.— An Act for the Relief of Celestia P. Hartt. March 3, 1869. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * Payment to Celestia P. Hartt. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to Celestia P. 462 FORTIETH CONGRESS. Sess. III. Ch. 176, 177, 178. 1869. Hartt, widow of the late naval constructor, Samuel T. Hartt, the sum of three thousand dollars, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, the same to be in full and complete compensation and satisfaction for the use of a gun-elevating screw invented by said Samuel T.
Hartt, and which had been used on the iron gun-carriages of the United States navy. Approved, March 3, 1869.
