CHAP. CCXI.— An Act granting a Pension to John W. Hughes.July 20, 1868. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary of the InteriorPension to John W. Hughes. be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension rolls, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of John W. Hughes, late a private in company I, nineteenth Iowa volunteers, and to pay him a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month, until the sixth day of June, eighteen hundred and sixty-six, and thereafter at the rate of fifteen dollars per month, commencing February twenty-first, eighteen hundred and sixty-three.
