CHAP. CCIX.— An Act to place the Name of Mahala M. Straight upon the Pension Rolls of the United States.July 20, 1868. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary of the InteriorPension to Mahala M. Straight. be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place the name of Mahala M. Straight, widow of Alonzo A. Straight, deceased, late a private in company E, one hundred and twenty-ninth regiment Illinois volunteers, upon the pension rolls of the United States and to pay her a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month, to commence on the fifth day of September, in the year eighteen hundred and sixty-two, and to continue during her widowhood, subject to the laws now in force in relation to pensions.
