CHAP. CCII.— An Act for the Relief of Wait Talcott.July 20, 1868. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary of the TreasuryWait Talcott to be allowed a credit. be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to credit to Wait Talcott (as of the eighteenth February, eighteen hundred and sixty-five), internal revenue collector for the second district of Illinois, the sum of five hundred and fifty-six dollars and ninety-three cents in consideration of the loss of that sum by the robbery of his deputy, Captain Richard A. Smith. Approved, July 20, 1868.
