CHAP. CCCLXXXIII.— An Act granting a Pension to Lavinia A. Gittings, Mother of Andrew J. Gittings.July 27, 1868. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary of the InteriorPension to Lavinia A. Gittings. be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the limitations and provisions of the pension laws, the name of Lavinia A. Gittings, mother of Andrew J. Gittings, late of “Putnam’s Rangers,” first Maryland cavalry, commencing March fourth, eighteen hundred and sixty-two. Approved, July 27, 1868.
