CHAP. CCCLII.— An Act granting a Pension to Joanna L. Shaw.July 27, 1868. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary of the InteriorPension to Joanna L. Shaw. be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Joanna L. Shaw, widow of John E. Shaw, late a private in company “E,” fourteenth regiment of Maine volunteers, and pay her a pension of seventeen dollars per month in lieu of the pension she is now and has been receiving, commencing August seventeenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-two.
