CHAP. CXLII.— An Act *to amend an Act entitled “An Act to authorize the Sale of Marine Hospitals and Revenue Cutters,” approved April* 20*th,* 1866.June 27, 1866.1866, ch. 63.*Ante*, p. 40. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the act entitled “An act to authorize the sale of marine hospitals and revenue cutters,” approvedCertain marine hospitals not to be leased or sold. April twentieth, eighteen hundred and sixty-six, shall not be construed to authorize the Secretary of the Treasury to lease or sell any such hospital where the relief furnished to sick marine[r]s shall show an extent of relief equal to twenty cases per diem, on an average, for the last preceding four years, or where no other suitable and sufficient hospital accommodations can be procured upon reasonable terms for the comfort and convenience of the patients.
