CHAP. CLXIV.— An Act *to amend an Act entitled “An Act to incorporate the National Theological Institute,” and to define and extend the Powers of the Same.* March 2, 1867. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * The National Theological Institute and University.Amount of real estate. That the act entitled “An act to incorporate the National Theological Institute,” approved May tenth, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six, be and the same is hereby amended as follows :
Sec. 1. That the name of the aforesaid corporation shall be and hereby is changed to that of “The National Theological Institute and University.” Sec. 2. That the said corporation may hold property in real estate in value not exceeding two hundred and fifty thousand dollars at any one time. Sec. 3. Authority of corporation. That the said corporation shall be authorized to extend its privileges and facilities of instruction to others than those connected with the Christian ministry, confer degrees and do all other acts and things which usually pertain to universities in the United States, the terms of admission to such privileges being the same as those usual in said universities.
