CHAP. CCIX.— An Act *for the Relief of Joshua H. Butterworth*. March 2, 1867. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Application of Joshua H. Butterworth for extension of patent to be considered. That the commissioner of patents is hereby authorized and empowered to proceed upon, determine, and decide the application of Joshua H. Butler worth for an extension of his patent for his “Improvement in safe and bank locks,” the same as though the patent had not been extended once already; and the said commissioner shall examine the said application, and decide upon the same on the same evidence and in the same manner as in other cases where extensions of patents are applied for, and without regard to the time when said application is made.
