Chap. CCLIV.— An Act for the Relief of John C. McConnell.July 4, 1864. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to John C. McConnell,Payment to John C. McConnell. the sum of two thousand dollars, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, in full payment for money advanced and service rendered in raising troops in the State of Maryland. Approved, July 4, 1864.
