Chap. XCVIII.— An Act for the Relief of Leslie Combs and Robert H. Crittenden, Sureties of the late A. J. Mitchell, Purser in the United States Navy.March 2, 1861. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That Leslie Combs and RobertLeslie Combs and Robert H. Crittenden relieved from judgment against them as sureties. H. Crittenden be, and they are hereby, relieved from all liability as sureties of the late Purser A.
J. Mitchell, United States navy, on account of any balance found due to the United States from said Mitchell, upon the settlement of his accounts as Purser of the United States steamer “Michigan,” and that any judgment based upon such liabilities be, and the same is hereby, released. Approved, March 2, 1861.
