Chap. CXCI.— An Act for the Relief of Robert M. Evans.July 16, 1862. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary of War be,Accounts of Robert M. Evans to be adjusted. and he is hereby, authorized to adjust and settle, upon fair and equitable terms, the accounts of Robert M. Evans, for recruiting in and bringing from the State of Indiana to this city, during the months of August and September, eighteen hundred and sixty-one, cavalry troops in pursuance of an order issued on or about the fifteenth day of July, of the same year, by the then Secretary of War: *Provided,* That the amount so paid shall not exceed the sum of five hundred dollars.
Sec. 2. This act to be in force from and after its passage. Approved, July 16, 1862.
