Chap. XVIII.— An Act to procure a Bust, in Marble, of the late Chief Justice John Rutledge. Jan. 21, 1857. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Stales of America in Congress assembled*, That the joint committee of the two Houses of Congress on the Library be and they are hereby authorizedBust of the late Chief Justice John Rutledge to be contracted for for the Supreme Court Room. and required to contract with a suitable artist for the execution, in marble, and delivery in the room of the Supreme Court of the United States, a bust of the late Chief Justice John Rutledge.
Sec. 2. *And be it further enacted*, That for the purpose of carrying this act into effect, there be and hereby is appropriated, eight hundred dollars,$800 appropriated therefor. to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. Approved, January 21, 1857.
