Chap. XVII.— An Act *for the Relief of the Heirs of Major-General Arthur St. Clair.* Jan. 21, 1857. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That in consideration of the $30,000 to be paid to the heirs of Major-General Arthur St. Clair.claims, services, and sacrifices of the late Major-General Arthur St. Clair, in the war of the Revolution, and in the subsequent Indian wars, the Secretary of the Treasury be and he is hereby authorized and directed to pay to the heirs of the said Major-General Arthur St.
Clair—one-sixth to be paid to the heirs of each of his six children—the sum of thirty thousand dollars, the same to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. Approved, January 21, 1857.
