Chap. LIX.— An Act *authorize the President of the United States to cause the Southern Boundary Line of Kansas Territory to be surveyed and marked.* July 8, 1856. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * That the President of theSurvey of southern boundary of Kansas. United States is hereby authorized and directed to cause the southern boundary line of the Territory of Kansas, between the State of Missouri and the Territory of New Mexico, to be surveyed and distinctly marked, and a plat of said survey shall be deposited in the office of the Secretary1856, ch. 170.*Post*, pp. 139, 140. of the Interior, and another plat of said survey shall be deposited in the office of the Secretary of the Territory of Kansas.
