Chap. CXXV.— An Act *for the Relief of Adam D. Steuart.* March 3, 1857. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Solicitor of the Treasury be directed to remit the unpaid balance (exclusive of costs) of a judgment Balance of judgment against Adam D. Steuart to be remitted.in favor of the United States against Adam D. Steuart, rendered in the United States Circuit Court for the District of Columbia, at the October term, in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty-two.
Sec. 2. *And be it further enacted,* That there be paid to the said $7,297.50 to be paid to said Steuart.Adam D. Steuart, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of seven thousand two hundred and ninety-seven dollars and fifty cents, that being the difference between the sum contracted to be paid to him and that which he received. Approved, March 3, 1857.
