Chap. CXXIX.— An Act *for the Relief of James D. Johnston.* March 3, 1857. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That James D. Johnston, a James D. Johnston to have a certain credit in his accounts.lieutenant in the navy of the United States, shall be entitled to a credit, in the settlement at the treasury of his accounts as naval storekeeper and acting purser of the storeship Fredonia, stationed in the harbor of Valparaiso, Chile, during the years eighteen hundred and fifty-three, eighteen hundred and fifty-four, and eighteen hundred and fifty-five, of the sum of two thousand and forty-three dollars and eighty cents; the said allowance to be in full for losses of public property stolen or embezzled from said vessel during the time he was in command of her.
