Chap. XXXI.— An Act for the Relief of C. E. Greneaux. Jan. 12, 1855. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he hereby is, authorized to examine into the claim of the Settlement of claim on C. E. Greneaux.United States against C. E. Greneaux, one of the sureties of Benoist Laurents, late a receiver of public moneys at the land-office at Natchitoches, in Louisiana, and the circumstances of said Greneaux, and to settle and discharge said claim upon such terms as he shall judge most for the interest of the United States, the same relief having been allowed in behalf of his co-sureties, by an act entitled “An Act for the relief of 1847, ch. 122.the estates of Benjamin Metoyer and Francois Gariennie, deceased,” passed March third, eighteen hundred and forty-seven.
