Chap. XXXI.— An Act *for the Relief of Charles G. Hunter.* May 6, 1852. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the proper accounting Charles G. Hunter to be allowed $7049.88.officers of the treasury department be, and they are hereby authorized and required to allow to Charles G. Hunter, credit for the sum of seven thousand nine hundred and forty-nine dollars and eighty-eight cents, being the amount of losses sustained by him while commanding and acting as purser of the steamer Scourge and the schooner Taney. Approved, May 6, 1852.
