Chap. XIV.— An Act *authorizing the Secretary of the Treasury to issue a new Register to the ship Prentice, and change her name to that of Leonie.* Jan. 13, 1853. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and is hereby authorized to issue a new Register to the American-built ship “Prentice,” of Charleston, South Carolina, and to change her name to that of Leonie, said vessel having been burned and rebuilt. Approved, January 13, 1853.
