Chap. VIII.— An Act granting the Franking Privilege to the Superintendent of the Coast Survey, and the Assistant in charge of the office of said Coast Survey. Feb. 2, 1854. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Superintendent of coast survey and his assistant to have the franking privi lege. That the Superintendent of the Coast Survey, and the assistant in charge of the office of the coast survey, shall be authorized to receive and transmit, free of postage, by the mails, all letters and documents in relation to their public duties. Approved, February 2, 1854.
