Chap. II.— An Act for the Relief of Jacob McLellan. Dec. 14, 1854. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * That the Secretary of the Treasury$450 to be refunded to Jacob McLellan. cause to be paid to Jacob McLellan, his heirs or assigns, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars, it being part of a penalty imposed upon the ship George Turner, and paid by the said McLellan, in December, eighteen hundred and fifty-one, for an alleged violation of the laws of the United States restricting the number of passengers in merchant vessels.
