Chap. CXXVIII.— An Act *making an Appropriation for Military Defences at Proctor’s Landing, in Louisiana.* Feb. 28, 1855. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the sum of one hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars be, and the same is hereby appropriated Appropriation for defences at Proctor’s Landing.out of any moneys in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be expended under the direction of the Secretary of War, in the purchase of a site, and the erection and completion of such military defences, as may be deemed expedient, at Proctor’s Landing, at the terminus of the Mexican Gulf railway, in the State of Louisiana.
