CXX.— An Act *for the Relief of Robert Grignon.* July 27, 1854. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary of the Robert Grignon to be paid $19,000. THIRTY-THIRD CONGRESS. Sess. I. Ch. 121, 122, 123, 124. 1854. 793Treasury be, and is, authorized and directed to pay unto Robert Grig non, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of nineteen thousand dollars, in full satisfaction of his claims against the United States arising out of the treaty with the Menomonee tribe or nation of Indians, executed the third day of September, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-six: *Provided,* That before the said money Proviso—consent of the Menomonee Indians to be first given.shall be paid to the said Grignon, the consent of the said tribe of Menomonee Indians shall be obtained thereto, which consent shall be certified by the sub-agent for said tribe.
