Chap. CXVIII.— An Act *for the Relief of William Clande Jones.* July 27, 1854. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary of War be, William C. Jones to be paid the difference between the pay of a private and that of commissary of subsistence from Sept. 28, 1837 to April, 2, 1838. Appropriation. and he is hereby, authorized and directed to settle the account of William Clande Jones against the United States, for his military services in the United States army, and allow him the difference between the pay of a private, which he did receive, and the compensation of a commissary of subsistence, to which he is entitled, from the twenty-eighth of September, eighteen hundred and thirty-seven, to the second of April, eighteen hundred and thirty-eight, and that the same be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
