Chap. CXLIX.— An Act for the Relief of John R. Bowes, Agent in charge of the Property of the United States at Michigan City, in the State of Indiana, and of Isaac S. Smith, of the City of Buffalo, Nero York. March 2, 1855. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * John R. Bowes to be paid $470.33. That the proper accounting officers of the treasury be, and are hereby, authorized and directed to pay to John R.
Bowes, of the State of Indiana, agent in charge of the property of the United States at Michigan City, in said State, the sum of four hundred and seventy dollars and thirty-three cents, in payment and in full discharge of all claims of said Bowes against the United States for services as said agent. THIRTY-THIRD CONGRESS. Sess. II. Ch. 150, 151, 152, 153. 1855. 859 Sec. 2. *And be it further enacted, *That the Secretary of the TreasuryIsaac S. Smith to be paid $452.32. be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Isaac S.
Smith, the sum of four hundred and fifty-two dollars and thirty-two cents, in full for his account for care and charge of the public property at the city of Buffalo, up to the thirtieth day of April, eighteen hundred and fifty-three, under the direction of the Topographical Bureau. Approved, March 2, 1855.
